NEXT HOME GAME: Charlton Athletic – Saturday 8 March, 12.30pm
NEXT AWAY GAME: Northampton Town – Tuesday 4 March, 7.45pm
Dear County fans, Stopfordians, Blackpool supporters, and anyone else from The Football Family joining us today, a very warm welcome to your Sunday edition of The Scarf My Father Wore.
Dave Challinor admitted things didn’t really work out the way he’d wanted in the first half yesterday, but after making three changes at the break, he certainly got a reaction in the second half. County fought back from a goal down to beat Blackpool 2-1, courtesy of two goals from our new wonderkid from Iceland. Here’s 20 snaps from a belting afternoon.
Today’s edition is sponsored by Bauhaus Blinds & Shutters. A big thank you to Karmen and Aaron. They’re celebrating their first year at their Hazel Grove showroom with a special offer. From now until 23 March, every order placed will enter into a free raffle for a chance to win a luxury hamper.
Finally, I’m currently walking every street in Stockport to raise money for mental health charity Mentell. If you’d like to make a donation to help me reach my target, please click here.
Total distance so far: 216.74 miles
Total steps so far: 353,516
Total raised so far: £2,270

St Andrew’s, Birmingham
County’s trip to Birmingham earlier this season resulted in their 13th consecutive defeat at St Andrew’s. Unlucky for some, eh? Game number ten in that sequence was back in January 2000, when 474 County fans saw Kevin Cooper & Co suffer a 2-1 defeat in the First Division.

#7 - County v Charlton, 5 February 2000
At that Birmingham game pictured above, there was a nasty incident in the away end. A week later, County printed the following letter they’d received from the Blues.
You are no doubt probably aware at the game on Saturday, one of your supporters was allegedly head-butted by one of the Birmingham City matchday stewards.
The incident was in fact captured on video and we have dismissed the steward from his post for an act of gross misconduct and passed the video to the local CID for their attention.
We have received a number of letters, as I’m sure you have, and thought that maybe a note in your next matchday programme to the above effect along with our sincere apologies might satisfy your disgruntled fans.
If you’re in need of any of the following this month, please use our sponsors as your first port of call
