Well, it wasn’t to be. County beat Lincoln 3-2 yesterday after a sensational comeback at Edgeley Park, but our automatic promotion hopes came to an end a couple of hours later as Wrexham beat Charlton to clinch second place. Congratulations to the North Wales lot on completing their back-to-back-to-back. Our own back-to-back is still on the table, but we’ll have to do that through the play-offs next month.
