NEXT HOME GAME: Stevenage – Tuesday 1 April, 7.45pm
NEXT AWAY GAME: Exeter City – Saturday 5 April, 3pm
Dear County fans, Stopfordians, Burton supporters, and anyone else from The Football Family joining us today, a very warm welcome to your Sunday edition of The Scarf My Father Wore.
County made hard work of it, but they picked up another three huge points yesterday in their quest to book a play-off spot. With Bolton and Huddersfield losing, we’re now seven points clear of 7th, which is a pretty sizeable gap going into April (unfortunately, so is the nine-point gap to Wrexham in 2nd). Match report from the Burton game tomorrow, photos today.
A big thank you to MAN v FAT for sponsoring today’s edition. You can register for just £1 using the code TSMFW.
Finally, I’m currently walking every street in Stockport to raise money for mental health charity Mentell. If you’d like to make a donation to help me reach my target, please click here.
Total distance so far: 253.75 miles

Have you managed to stick to your 2025 New Year’s resolutions?
Be honest… are you still going to the gym? Are you still reaching for the carrots rather than the cakes? Have you been getting in your 10,000 steps each day? Unfortunately, the answer is probably no, with most people ditching their New Year’s resolutions by the time spring comes around.
If you’re still searching for the best way of improving your health and wellbeing for 2025 and you’re keen to shift a few extra pounds, then the local MAN v FAT network of clubs may well be for you.
A supportive community of likeminded men, all keen to make lasting changes whilst having a kickabout once a week. Some incredible friendships have been made by the lads in the clubs around the Greater Manchester area so, if you’re looking to freshen up your social scene too, MAN v FAT may well be the answer.
But does it really work? If you’re ready to get stuck in, then absolutely!
And if you’re looking for examples of men who’ve hit the heights with MAN v FATlocally, take a look at these case studies!
