Total steps so far: 83,302
Total raised so far: £1,017
Total completed streets so far: 24 (Click here for the full list, which includes reports and photos from every day of the walk.)

Des Junior
Des Junior loves writing about County. But he can never be arsed doing match previews. They’re a bit dull, aren’t they? Paddy Madden’s out for two games with an ingrown toenail…blah blah blah…tomorrow’s referee has handed out more cards than Moonpig…blah blah blah…County haven’t won at Birmingham since 1672.
Fortunately, he has a number of fellow County content creators to call upon. Here’s their thoughts, general chit-chat and score predictions, as Salford come to town for the first time since their season ended from the penalty spot at the Railway End.

Best and worst memories from previous games against Salford?
This is going to have to be a quick one as I’m currently waiting for a flight to Spain!
Best memory has to be the play-off semi-final second leg back in May, as we booked our trip to Wembley. I don’t have any particularly bad memories against Salford, apart from the ticket fiasco of the first leg.

What on earth is happening with Nick Powell at the moment?
“Not a lot!” I’m tempted to reply, but is that an accurate assessment or remotely a fair one?
Surely any fair assessment of any player should be based upon reasoned judgement following a sustained period of games, and thus far no such run of games has occurred largely due to his injury record whilst with us.
His record playing at all levels bar the first team for England, and having turned out for Man U in the Champions League, suggests there is quality in the mix with this player. However, the prime question would seem to be: “Will Challinor’s nerve hold long enough for us to perhaps see this emerge?”
Injuries and suspensions have started to increase our difficulties thus increasing the likelihood that Powell will be needed and at something akin to his best. Having apparently shelled out shedloads to get him here we may just be well advised to at least try to put that investment to good use on the pitch!
We’re told that Powell’s County teammates find it difficult to “read” him. I personally find that difficult to accept, but I can think of one midst our current playing staff who is well equipped to cope, namely Paddy Madden, who I’d be tempted to start tonight alongside Powell in the Bailey spot behind Wootton and Olaofe and see how we go.
Give your car a lick of paint
Granted, Stockport used to be a little rough around the edges. But the town’s getting a good old lick of paint these days, with fancy new offices, apartments, bars and restaurants springing up. You can’t be driving up and down the A6 in a tatty car with chipped paintwork, so give your car a nice lick of paint too. Colourtone is your go-to company for that. They’ve been servicing the automotive and industrial markets in Cheshire and Greater Manchester for decades, and carry an extensive range of car paint and industrial paints.

DJ Des
Doris Day delivers a nice rendition of “Que Sera, Sera” but I have to say I much prefer the version 10,000 County fans were singing the last time Salford came to Edgeley Park. No trip to Wembley on offer tonight, but County can take a further step towards League One with another three points.
Would you like DJ Des to play a song for your favourite County player, or a friend or family member? Email thescarfmyfatherwore@substack.com with your requests/shoutouts!

I appreciate Nick Powell's county career hasn't been sparkling as yet but agreed far far too early to judge or write him off just yet.
