THE SCARF MY FATHER WORE 2025-26 CALENDAR: Having been to all 56 County games this season, I’ve taken thousands of photos. I’ve put together calendars for next season, featuring some of my favourite photos from the last year, plus some other County bits and bobs. £10 each. Get in touch if you’d like one.
Dear County fans, Stopfordians, and anyone else from The Football Family joining us today, a very warm welcome to your Saturday edition of The Scarf My Father Wore.
I’ve spent the last couple of days going through readers’ 2024-25 predictions which were submitted before the start of last season. Three County fans finished on 16 points, which means a tiebreaker was needed to divvy up the prize pot. Congratulations to our winner Callum Wilde, who pockets £80. Pete Cope wins £60 for finishing second. Mike Wilde (Callum’s dad!) walks away with £40. And £20 goes to Mentell, who I’m currently raising money for. The full list of results is below. If you’d like to win yourself some cash through our 2025-26 prediction game, drop me an email.
Today’s edition is sponsored by B.J. McKenna & Co Solicitors. A big thank you to Adam. Their sub division, Two Wheel Claims, specialises in assisting clients who have been injured whilst riding their motorbike, bicycle or scooter. If you’ve had an accident on the road, scroll down for further details.
Finally, I’m currently walking every street in Stockport to raise money for mental health charity Mentell. If you’d like to make a donation to help me reach my target, please click here.
Total distance so far: 253.75 miles
Total steps so far: 418,084
Total raised so far: £2,312
Total completed streets so far: 474 (Click here for the full list, which includes reports and photos from every day of the walk.)
Further information on the walk can be found by clicking here.

100 photos of County fans on holiday
#4 – Antony Walsh in Japan
Where’s that?
Tokyo.
When?
2018.
Best moment of the holiday?
I was actually on tour with my band. The best part of going to Japan is the way you’re treated. Japanese people are so polite and they’ve always been so grateful when we’ve travelled all that way to play for them.
What’s your favourite Japanese food?
Ramen.
Are you studying something interesting on the floor in that photo, or are you just very pissed?
Very pissed. That photo was taken at about 7.30 in the morning. We’d been playing Japanese drinking games into the early hours.
➡️ Are you a County fan? Have you been on holiday before? Send us one of your snaps!
