Dear County fans, Stopfordians, Wycombe supporters, and anyone else from The Football Family joining us today, a very warm welcome to your Wednesday edition of The Scarf My Father Wore.
“One of the most depressing performances I've ever seen.” That’s the verdict of the man who’s written the Wycombe match report for us. As a collective, I don’t think we’re ready for last night’s post-mortem just yet, so I’ll send that out tomorrow. For today, I’ll just leave you with the 21 photos I took last night.
Today’s edition is sponsored by The Flower House. A big thank you to Zoe.
Thanks also to Baz from Chicken Cottage for sponsoring our Wycombe Wanderers content on the website.
Finally, I’m currently walking every street in Stockport to raise money for mental health charity Mentell. If you’d like to make a donation to help me reach my target, please click here.
Total distance so far: 176.31 miles
Total steps so far: 284,130
Total raised so far: £2,027
Total completed streets so far: 399 (Click here for the full list, which includes reports and photos from every day of the walk.)
Further information on the walk can be found by clicking here.

5 questions with Zoe from The Flower House
What was the best moment with your business in October?
A memorable moment that stands out is a pumpkin arrangement workshop on a Sunday afternoon with some lovely customers, music and drinks.
What’s your plans for the business in November?
November will be a busy month planning for Christmas, running Christmas wreath workshops and various markets.
What would you like to promote to our readers in November?
Christmas – it’s never too early! Door wreaths are super popular.
What’s your favourite thing about Bonfire Night?
Seeing my children’s faces light up at all the wonderful sights of the evening.
County travel to Burton this month, a town known for its many breweries. What’s your favourite beer (or any other alcoholic beverage)?
I’m not really a beer person, my alcoholic beverage of choice would be a vodka and orange. Although I have been known to drink beer with a straw when there was no other alcoholic option!

#42 – Eddie McGoldrick, Man City
This was a bit of a weird Gary Megson loan signing, during our first season in Division One. McGoldrick only made two appearances for County, on loan from City, one of which was our 4-1 defeat at Maine Road in April 1998.
